LOCATION
"Built for pleasure and relaxation, beautiful Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. The waters are still a big draw today, both at the ancient Roman Baths and the thoroughly modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in.
Bath’s compact, visitor-friendly centre is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain, making it the ideal city break. Immerse yourself in Bath’s remarkable collection of museums and galleries, and enjoy year-round festivals, theatre, music and sport.
Bath's stunning, honey-coloured Georgian architecture is straight from a Jane Austen novel; highlights include the iconic Royal Crescent and the majestic Circus. There’s plenty to see beyond the city, too, with beautiful Somerset countryside to explore, as well as attractions including Stonehenge, Avebury, Castle Combe, and Longleat Safari Park."

THE TEAM
DANA SAYLOR, LEADER
I'm an artist, historian, preservation advocate and event planner. My "superpower" is human connection and I'm proud of my strong network of friends and colleagues. Many of the people in my circles I've met through volunteering and community activism. These days, I'm a global retreat organizer, travel consultant and worldschooling parent. I love including my daughter in my life and learning alongside her.
I have planned this retreat with you in mind, and selected our sessions and venue with great care. I look forward to meeting each of you individually, or getting to know you better if we've already met.
MICHAEL SCHENKEL, SUPPORT LEAD
Michael, my husband, will be supporting us at the retreat, some food preparation and logistics, and caring for our daughter at a separate Airbnb. He's an IT professional, so it's nearly certain that a tech question will arise that he can and will solve!
Michael is a musician and luthier (stringed instrument-maker) and I will try to cajole him into playing a few things for us one night. I hope he'll also share his creative experience building his first guitar and attending his first Guild of American Luthiers Convention.
Michael is the reason I'm able to lead these retreats. He generously creates space for me to live my dream. We're an excellent team.
Oh yeah, and you'll get to meet Artemis and hang out occasionally. Not too much, I promise.
